Translations are slides so if have a triangle on one side and you slide or translate it to another side you will get different points on a line crossing the the Y-axis and the X-axis. A rotation is where you well rotate your object to the other side of the Y-axis or X-axis. A reflection is a flip of an object across the Y-axis or across the X-axis only backwards.
